Community Calendar for Week of June 13

NOW – OCTOBER

  • The Putnam County Farmers Market will be held every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the field next to Exxon on Route 34, Teays Valley.
  • The Country Roads Farmers’ Market will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Valley Park in Hurricane.

NOW – JUNE 15

  • Evergreen Hills Baptist Church, 435 Heaven’s Hill Road, Culloden, will be holding Roman’s Surrender to Service Vacation Bible School for ages 4-18 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. nightly. For more information, go to evergreenhillsbc.com

  • The Buffalo Church of God will hold Vacation Bible School for nursery/pre-school through Middle School ages from 6:30 – 8:45 p.m. nightly.

  • The Poca Library will be showing “The Neverending Story” at 2 p.m.
  • The Putnam County Chamber of Commerce will be holding a business meet-up from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at Area 34, 971 State Route 34, Teays Valley.
  • There will be a blood drive from 1 to 6 p.m. at Area 34, 971 State Route 34, Hurricane. Please call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or visit RedCrossBlood.org and enter pcc to schedule an appointment. Walk ins are also welcome.
  • Southridge will be performing at 7 p.m. at Barnyard BBQ, 1101 Hospital Drive, Hurricane.

  • The Poca Town Wide Yard Sale will be taking place throughout the town.
  • Storyteller Bill Lepp will make an appearance at the Putnam County Fairgrounds in Eleanor at 7 p.m. Bring a chair, as seating is limited at the show/sale barn.
  • Dillon Cycles, 737 Eleanor Industrial Park Drive, Eleanor, will be holding their grand opening from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • The Winfield High School Band will be holding a car wash from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Advance Auto Parts, 12616 Winfield Road, Winfield.
  • There will be a pickleball tournament starting at 8:30 p.m. at Sleepy Hollow Golf Club, 3780 Sleepy Hollow Drive, Hurricane. The cost is $15 for members and $20 for non-members.
