Taste of the Sea Comes to Putnam County

Chef LB (center) is all smiles as family members cut the ribbon to open The Trapp at 44 Midland Trail in Hurricane on Friday, June 7th.

The first ever brick and mortar Trapp was born at 44 Midland Trail in Hurricane on Friday, June 7, 2024. The Trapp food truck found its way to West Virginia from Durham, North Carolina, two years ago. Through the food truck, Hurricane discovered Chef LB and the Trappn taste. The Trappn taste is a Chef LB creation inspired by Louisiana-style shellfish offerings. Charleston and Huntington must now travel to Hurricane to enjoy this special taste of the sea.

The Trapp seafood offerings include more than its food truck menu of sizzling lobster tails and lobster bites and sides. The full menu is available at https://www.facebook.com/Lobster919TrappN/

Hours are: Monday – Thursday: 11 am to 9 pm; Friday – Saturday: 11 am to 11 pm; Sunday: Noon to 7 pm.
