Robert Sowards’ team of mules hoof their way home after a trip to Walmart on Tuesday, June 18. Home is north of Hurricane on Sleepy Creek, a distance of about 3 miles.

Sowards has owned the team for three years and works them on his farm. The Walmart excursion served as a break from the 90°-plus temperatures of the day for Robert.
