The pace of construction of the Culloden I-64 interchange has benefited from the recent dry spell. Contractors are currently increasing the clearance beneath the interstate bridge by lowering the grade of Benedict Road. The project has been a slow go because of the need to relocate natural gas lines prior to excavation.

The $36 million project will connect Benedict Road to U.S. Route 60 when completed in the fall of 2026.
