The City of Hurricane rewarded three big (and fast) eaters at Independence Day festivities at City Park as ten contestants consumed dozens of hot dogs in a five minute period. The first place winner was Jason Dial with 12 hot dogs. He went home with $500 and a very full stomach.

Chase Cumptan placed second with 11 dogs downed and $250 richer. Logan Beabout received $100 for his third place after defeating two other contestants in a one dog eat-off. Beabout qualified for the eat-off run-off by consuming 10 hot dogs in the allotted five minutes.
