  • The Putnam County Farmers Market will be held every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the field next to Exxon on Route 34, Teays Valley.
  • The Country Roads Farmers’ Market will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Valley Park in Hurricane.


  • The First Baptist Church of Nitro, 2202 2nd Avenue, will be holding a free lunch every Wednesday in July from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.


  • The Bridge Church, 279 Dairy Road, Poca, will be holding Vacation Bible School from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. each evening.

  • The Poca Library will be holding a special double feature film event starting at 2 p.m. The movies which will be shown are 1960 and 2002 versions of “The Time Machine.”

  • Putnam County Homeschool Co-Op will be hosting a Health Science Day at 1 p.m. at Hurricane City Park.
