Ryan Wheeler was appointed to Hurricane City Council on August 5th to fill the position made vacant by the passing of long-time councilman Reggie Billups.

Wheeler is a 23-year resident of Hurricane and has served the community as a member of the Putnam County Chamber of Commerce, the Tri-County YMCA, and the Society of American Engineers. He is employed by Terradon Corporation of Poca.

The terms of all City of Hurricane elected officials ends on December 31, 2026. The next city election will coincide with the November 2026 General Election.
