Putnam County Republicans Hold Headquarters Grand Opening

Kris Warner, candidate for Secretary of State, addresses party leaders at GOP Headquarters Grand Opening.

The Putnam County Republican Party recently held the grand opening of their 2024 Republican Party Election Headquarters. The new, dynamic space will be used to mobilize voters, host events, and strategize ahead of the 2024 General Election.

In attendance at the grand opening event were statewide candidates, state Senators and Delegates, local leaders, party officials, volunteers, and community members. Key speakers included Putnam County Republican Party Chairman Tony Hodge, candidate for Secretary of State Kris Warner, and others.

Hodge spoke about the many years of grassroots efforts that have firmly solidified Putnam County as a Republican Party stronghold in West Virginia. He emphasized the importance of voter engagement. “This new space will afford us the opportunity to connect with the voters. It will serve as a central hub for our efforts to support conservative candidates, engage with our community, and ensure that our voices are heard loud and clear in the upcoming election cycle,” Hodge said.

Attendees had the opportunity to tour the facility, meet with local party leaders, and learn more about volunteer opportunities leading up to the 2024 elections. The new headquarters will serve as the operational center for campaign efforts, voter outreach, and various community engagement activities. The space is equipped to host meetings, phone banks, and other key activities that will be crucial in the months ahead.

Sarah Drennan, candidate for House of Delegates in the 20th district, expressed enthusiasm for the new location of the headquarters. “The value of having a campaign headquarters in such a great location allows voters access to information about candidates at all levels of government. I’m looking forward to volunteering and meeting more members of our community,” Drennan said.

Chairman Hodge shared the goals of the Putnam County Republican Party. “We are dedicated to promoting strong, conservative values and supporting Republican candidates across local, state, and national elections. Through grassroots organizing and voter engagement, the party strives to strengthen the voice of the community and ensure responsible governance for West Virginia’s future,” Hodge said.

The headquarters is located at 109 Liberty Square Drive in Hurricane. The space is open to the public most evenings and on Saturday. There will be openings during the early afternoon as events begin to be scheduled.
