  • The Putnam County Farmers Market will be held every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the field next to Exxon on Route 34, Teays Valley.
  • The Country Roads Farmers’ Market will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Valley Park in Hurricane.

THURSDAYS THROUGH NOVEMBER

  • Bringing Back the Village – Free seminars for seniors and their caregivers will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Thursdays at the Putnam County Main Library in Teays Valley.

  • The Poca Market, 2809 Charleston Road, Poca, will be holding SpookyMarket Trick or Treat from 4 to 6 p.m.
  • Valley Cakes and Cafe in Poca will be holding a Sanderson Sisters Halloween party at 6 p.m. Adults are $15, and children are $10.

  • The Jay Humphrey’s Trio will be performing at 12:30 p.m. at the Buffalo United Methodist Church.
  • The Buffalo United Methodist Church, 27 High Street, Buffalo, will be holding their Anniversary Celebration beginning at 10:30 a.m.
  • The Upper Vandalia Historical society will meet at 2:00 pm at the Bancroft Mission, 5936 Charleston Road, Bancroft.
  • Jungle Club Resort Party and Play, 11624 Winfield Road Unit 4, Winfield, will be holding a Halloween Bluey Canvas Paint and Play from noon to 5 p.m. The cost is $5 with a regular 2 hour admission playpass for $12.
  • The Martin Luther King Jr. Male Chorus will be holding a concert from 3 to 5:30 p.m. at Winfield United Methodist Church, 20 Radwin Drive, Winfield.

  • The City of Hurricane is hosting their annual pumpkin carving contest at Hurricane City Park from 3 to 5 p.m.

  • Oakwood Homes, 1 Pickens Road, Nitro, will be holding Trick or Treat with a Twist from 4 to 6 p.m.
  • There will be a CPR lesson from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Eleanor Town Hall.

OCTOBER 29

  • The City of Nitro will be holding a Halloween Hoedown from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Living Memorial Park. Costume contest, dance contest, live music, candy and prizes.
  • There will be a Hocus Pocus Outdoor Community Night starting at 7 p.m. at Winfield Middle School Children must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Meet-Up 64: The Region’s Premier Networking Event Series for Young Professionals will be held from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at The Garage, 3057 Mount Vernon Road, Hurricane.
  • Power Up Sports and Wellness, 3540 Teays Valley Road, Hurricane, will be holding a Halloween Zumba class from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

OCTOBER 30

  • Mount Union Church, 19268 Jerry’s Run Road, Pliny, will be holding Trunk or Treat from 7 to 8 p.m.
  • Express Employment Professionals will be holding a walk-in recruiting and hiring event from noon to 4 p.m. at Area 34, 971 WV Route 34, Hurricane.
  • Bethel Baptist Church, Hurricane Creek Road, will be holding trunk or treat starting at 6:30 p.m.
  • The Hurricane Church of Christ, 600 Midland Trail, will be holding Trunk or Treat from 6 to 8 p.m.

  • The Town of Bancroft will be holding Trick or Treat from 6 to 8 p.m.
  • The City of Winfield will be having Trick or Treat from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
  • The City of Hurricane will be observing Trick or Treat from 6 to 8 p.m.
  • Main Street Trick or Treat will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. on Main Street, Hurricane.
