Cops N Rodders Car Club Closes Season with Trunk or Treat Cruise-In

Faith and Randall Bayles of Cross Lanes went all out for Halloween, decorating their 1934 Chevy Cabriolet with a ghostly gangster theme.

The Cops N Rodders Car Club held their last cruise-in of the season this past Saturday, October 19, at the parking lot of the Putnam County Bank Loan Center in Hurricane. Since it is so close to Halloween, the club hosted a trunk or treat event, with participants giving out candy to children. The trick-or-treaters wore a variety of different costumes, and some of the vehicle exhibitors dressed up for the occasion as well.

Over seventy vehicles were entered in the car show. Trophies were awarded to the best vehicle in each class as well as Best of Show. Refreshments were provided by Cub Scouts Troop 236.

While last Saturday’s cruise-in wrapped up the 2024 season, Cops N Rodders will start up again next spring. Cruise-ins are held on the third Saturday of each month May through October.

Joe Ferguson of Milton brought his yellow 2015 Ford Mustang G7 to last Saturday’s car show.
