Many children dress up as Batman for Halloween, but Sebastian Tucker of Hurricane got to go trick or treating in the Batmobile. Sebastian, who is the son of Rodney Tucker and Cindy McCallister, has cerebral palsy and uses a wheelchair to get around. For the past few years, Rodney has constructed props to fit around Sebastian’s wheelchair so that he could have a unique Halloween costume that incorporates his mobility device. This year’s creation was a Batmobile prop for the wheelchair which makes it seem as though Sebastian is actually driving the famous vehicle. Family members dressed up as heroes and villains from the Batman comics and accompanied Sebastian on his rounds about the Western Hills neighborhood.
Last year, Sebastian went trick or treating as a member of the band KISS. His costume depicted him as the drummer and disguised his wheelchair as a giant drum. Other costumes from the past included a firefighter, complete with his wheelchair decorated to resemble a firetruck.
