The 2025 Hurricane Independence Celebration Day Pageants brought more than 40 participants to the Valley Park Conference Center on Saturday, April 12. The pageants produced twelve winners with Baby Miss, Tiny Miss, Toddler Miss, Mini Miss, Petite Miss, Little Miss, Junior Miss, Pre-Teen, Teen, Ms., Mrs., and Queen contestants receiving crowns.
Delaney Roberts of Gallipolis Ferry is the 2025 Hurricane Independence Day Celebration Queen. She will represent her title in Charleston in January at the 2026 West Virginia Association of Fairs and Festival along with over 85 other young women from around the state as they compete for the title of WVAFF to represent the 2026 State Fair of West Virginia.
The winners will represent the City of Hurricane at various events throughout the entirety of 2025. The 4th of July will be a big day for all with Hurricane’s annual parade to be followed by festivities at City Park.
The winners were: Baby Miss – Penelope Mullins of Clendenin; Tiny Miss – Clara Wise of Sissonville; Toddler Miss – Riley Jo Hunter of Wayne; Mini Miss – Caroline Wise of Sissonville; Petite Miss – Eliza Hill of Charleston; Little Miss – Harper Tucker of Barboursville; Junior Miss – Rowan Ashley of Elizabeth; Pre-Teen – Paisley Mitchell of Buffalo; Teen – Kailyn Williams of Camden-on-Gauley; Ms. – Emilee Butcher of Lizemore; Mrs. – Cathy Garvin of Diana; and Queen – Delaney Roberts of Gallipolis Ferry.
