Todd Bryant (center) out gulped five other contestants.
The first ever Putnam County Fair Ice Cream Eating contest featured both adult and children competitions.
Adult competitors were tasked with consuming one full gallon of vanilla ice cream in less than seven minutes. Every one of the six participants failed to complete the assignment. The winners were determined by weighing each contestant’s container and remaining ice cream when time was called.
Todd Bryant out gulped five other contestants with the lowest container weight — about 2.8 pounds. Bryant and second place winner David Martin won cash prices. Third place winner Roy Grant won a gift certificate.
