Jo’s Belknap Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Ribbon cutting marks Belknap Dough Company becoming Jo’s Belknap.

Belknap Dough Company at 2725 Main Street in Hurricane became Jo’s Belknap in January. The new owners, Madi Jo Lunsford and her mother Stephanie kept the Belknap name because the pizza shop will continue to produce authentic Neapolitan pizza using the same wood-fired oven which Jimmy Belknap brought all the way from Rome, Italy, to Hurricane.

On Thursday, April 9th, City of Hurricane officials joined Madi Jo and Stephanie in a ribbon cutting to celebrate the reopening. For Madi Jo, just 21 years old, the celebration marks a shift from working at the restaurant to assuming 24/7 operational responsibility. The restaurant is open 4-9 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, with hours extended until 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
