Cpl. Fulks Memorial Trail Race — Running and Remembering

5K, 10K, and 5K Ruck competitors set out to meet the challenge of Meeks Mountain Trails at Hurricane City Park.

The Cpl. Fulks Memorial Trail Race is an annual event on the winding Meeks Mountain Trails at Hurricane City Park. The race commemorates Marine Corps Cpl. William B. Fulks who died May 18, 2006 from wounds and burns suffered while conducting combat operations in Anbar province, Iraq. The race serves as a fundraiser for the William B. Fulks Marine Corps League Detachment 1474 scholarship fund and its effort to address the needs of veterans and their families.
