MABEL FULTZ ASBURY
Mabel Lily Fultz Asbury, 91, passed peacefully at home surrounded by the love of her family and the grace of the Lord. Born on October 17, 1934, Mabel lived a life marked by unwavering faith, quiet strength, and extraordinary kindness that touched all who knew her.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, Mabel was the heart of her family and a pillar of both her church and community. Everyone who knew her loved her. She carried herself with gentleness and humility, always placing others before herself and reflecting God’s love in the way she lived each day. Her pure heart, compassionate spirit made her deeply admired and dearly loved by everyone blessed enough to cross her path.
Her family was her greatest earthly treasure, and she poured herself fully into caring for and supporting those she loved. In return, she was loved fiercely and faithfully by her family, whose lives are forever shaped by her example.
She is preceded in death by her son Leslie Todd Asbury, two parents Lester and Mary Fultz and older brother Frank Fultz. She is survived by her beloved husband of 69 years, Ronald Asbury; her three sons Terry, Tracy, and Timmy Asbury; one brother, Jim Fultz; two daughters-in-law, Bee Asbury and Lisa Asbury; four grandchildren Lauren Mach, Erin Asbury, Blaine Asbury, and Jacob Asbury; and two great-grandchildren, Miles and Lila Mabel Mach. She also leaves behind church family members, and neighbors who were strengthened by her warmth, wisdom, and unwavering faith.
Though her absence leaves an immeasurable void, her family finds peace in knowing she has entered into eternal rest with her Savior. Her life was a beautiful testimony of grace, love, and faithfulness and her legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Funeral service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, May 31, 2026 at Rock Branch Independent Church with Pastor Delbert Hawley and Pastor Aaron Ramsey officiating. Burial will follow in Asbury Cemetery, Nitro. The family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. -3:00 P.M prior to the service at the church.

STEVEN ELIJAH GREEN
On Saturday, May 23, 2026, Steven Elijah Green, 57, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family. Steve was born on March 21, 1969 in Hamlin.
Throughout his life Steve devoted himself to his family and friends, always offering support, kindness, and companionship. He will be remembered by those who knew him as someone who could always be counted on, who deeply valued his loved ones, and who never missed an opportunity to enjoy life.
He spent his life making many happy memories, be it many family trips to Myrtle Beach, riding ATVs with family and friends, riding roller coasters at Kings Island or socializing at local establishments. Regardless, he tended to bring a smile to those that knew him, no matter what the activity.
Outside of his children, which if you asked him, were his greatest accomplishments, was his business, Green’s Residential and Commercial Lawn Service was his greatest professional devotion. He took great pride in building a reputation on quality work and service. Some of his work could always be seen by the way he took care of several locations for the City of Hurricane, private customers, and the grounds of the Mardi Gras Casino and Resort in Cross Lanes.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Gladys Spaulding; his father, Elijah Green; his son, Steven Christopher Green; his nephew, Cody David Priestley, and Janice Jewel Totten-who was like a second mother to him.
Left to cherish his memory is his son, Kevin Lee Green of Jumping Branch, WV; daughter, Fanci (Adam) Nicole Estep of Racine, WV; wife, Tammy Green of St. Albans; niece, Tiffany Priestley of Hurricane; great-nephew, Thomas Reed of St. Albans; as well as close family members Donna Shuler, Robert Spaulding, Michael Byus, Billy Erwin, and Pam Erwin.

TONY PAROG
Tony Parog, 68, of Hurricane, passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at his home with family.
He was born on September 30, 1957, to the late John and Drema Beane Parog.
Tony was a proud patriot who was retired from the Federal Bureau of Prisons and a proud NRA member who loved his country.
Tony is survived by his wife, Diane Russell Parog; children: Krista (John) Garnes and their 7 children of St. Albans, Emily (Matt) Kingery and their 7 children of Charleston, Paul Parog of Nitro, and Lillian Parog at home; sister, Terri (Rick) Summerfield of Cross Lanes; and brother, Rob (Amy) Parog of St. Albans; as well as several other family members.
Burial was in Mount Tabor Church of God Cemetery Dry Ridge in St. Albans.

NELSON DAVID WHITE
Nelson David White, 65, of Hurricane, passed away on May 17, 2026 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington.
He was born on January 30, 1961, to Marceil J. Martin White and the late Nelson Ray White in Augusta, GA.
In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by his niece, Nicole White.
Nelson David was a graduate of Doddridge County High School, a proud Christian, enjoyed fishing for disc golf disc’s, recycling, and watching NHRA drag racing, although his deep love was being a Marshall University fan. He proudly served his country in the US Army.
In addition to his mother, he is also survived by his loving wife, Lori D. Cox White; children: Andy (Lindsey) White of St. Albans, Bethany White of St. Albans, and Christian White at home; grandchildren: Zoe and Landon White; grand dogs: Miya, Xavier, and Delilah; brother, Edward (Sandra) White of West Union; nephew, Jeremy (Staclyn) White of West Union, and their children, Wilder and Ryatt; sister in-laws: Pat Cox of Scott Depot, and Diana Cox both of Nitro; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and other family members.
Funeral service for Nelson was Thursday, May 21, 2026 at Chapman Funeral Home, Hurricane, with Pastor Jeremey Berry and Pastor Stephen Wray officiating. Burial was in Bicker Cemetery on Barker Ridge, Milton.

JINTANA WYMER
Jintana Wymer, 49, of Scott Depot, passed away after a hard fought battle with cancer on May 20, 2026 at Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston.
She was born on October 3, 1976, to Somsri Hicks in Savannah, GA.
Jintana was a professional aesthetician and makeup artist. She was a graduate of Huntington School of Beauty Culture. Recently, her greatest “job” was being an amazing mom and “Gigi”.
She is survived by her husband, Brandon Wymer; children: Grady (Jax) Hicks of Dublin, OH, Hunter Wymer, Mika Wymer and Atticus Wymer all of Scott Depot; grandchildren: Ezekiel and Elijah Hicks of Dublin, OH; mother, Somsri “Grandma Oy” Hicks; sister, Anji Hicks of Irrigon, OR; in-laws: Ron Wymer and the late Karen Wymer of Scott Depot; as well as several other family members and friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be 2:00pm Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Chapman Funeral Home, Hurricane, with Rev. Bill Wymer officiating.
