The Paws and Pistons Car Show is for all who appreciate friendly furry creatures with paws and the classic piston-driven devices which have fulfilled mankind’s desire to navigate in ease. The third annual show was held Saturday, May 30th, in Winfield.
The event is both a car show and a show for pups and cats. All participating pups received a goody bag with the winners awarded a trophy and a gift basket. The car show featured seven different categories. Most Unique, Best of Show, Kid’s Choice, Truck, Tuner, Muscle, and Classic winners all received a prize and a trophy.
Event organizer Hailey Morgan reported that a record number of 132 vehicles registered for this, the third year of the event. Last year the show produced 101 entrees. Morgan also reported record proceeds for the show. This year’s show produced $1,500, up from $800 in 2025.
All proceeds go directly to the Putnam County Animal Shelter. The shelter reported that it was able to find a forever home for one of its longer-time residents at the event.
