Community Calendar for Week of July 13

Food trucks will be coming to Hurricane’s Main Street from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Community Autism Resources & Education Systems- CARES will be holding a summer meet up from 10 a.m. to noon at Valley Park in Hurricane.

Buffalo Church of the Nazarene youth group will be hosting Pickup Game Fridays at 6:30 p.m. at the church. Brisketball, flag football, frisbee, kickball, and more.

The Putnam County Farmers Market will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the field beside Exxon/Arby’s on Route 34 in Teays Valley.

First Baptist Church of Hurricane, located on Main Street, will be holding “Stellar” Vacation Bible School from 6 to 8 p.m.

CharCon, West Virginia’s Gaming Convention, will be held at the Clay Center in Charleston. For more information, go to https://www.charcon.org

The Bancroft Mission will be hosting Praise in the Park at Bancroft Community Park starting at 7 p.m.
The Hurricane Hundred K Twilight Trainer and Tailgate will start at 8 p.m. at Meeks Mountain Trails at the Hurricane City Park.
There will be a foam dance party for children ages 7-14 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Foam Garage, 2716 Putnam Avenue, Hurricane. The cost is $10 per child.
Fitness Friday: Cardio Boxing will be at the Hurricane Bridge Park at 10 a.m.
There will be a Pure Country music show at 6 p.m. at the John Henson Senior Center in Hurricane.

The Clinton-Cunningham-Shamblin Reunion will be held from noon to 5 p.m. at the Eleanor Park.
SpeakEasy Singles will be holding a singles dinner at 6 p.m. at Fireside Grille in Teays Valley. Afterwards go to the new Reed’s Entertainment Putt Putt Golf Course at Putnam Village.
There will be a three-mile wild mushroom hike at 1 p.m. on the Meeks Mountain Trails at Hurricane City Park. Meet at the big red barn.

The Pulse Church, Route 34, Winfield, will be holding Keepers of the Kingdom VBS from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. nightly.

Mount Union Church, 19268 Jerry’s Run Road, Pliny, will be holding Pets Unleashed VBS from 6 to 8 p.m. nightly.

Children can learn about big trucks and other vehicles at 10 a.m. at Feel the Wheels at Poca Library.

Bethel Baptist Church will be holding a tent revival at Valley Park in Hurricane. Friday services start at 6 p.m.; Saturday services start at 4 p.m.; and there will be a 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. service on Sunday.
