The Hurricane High Cheerleading Team was honored at the January 2 city council meeting for winning its first ever State Championship. The team is composed of seniors Brynn Beckman, Makayla Bennett, Maddie Conley, Katie Gabhart, Taylor Thompson, Shayden Griffith, Haylee Osborne and Kennedy Randle; juniors Carly Dingess, Pressley Adkins, Haley Vedral, Owen Woodburn, Gracie Thornton and Autianna Hollins; sophomores Faith Taylor, Bella Whittington, Kennedy Warner, Ava Ison, Jenna Simms and Kaylee Eldridge; and freshmen Cassidy Davis, Amyah Persinger, Kendra Rainey and Ella Humberston.
