WVSU Partners with Buffalo High School to Advance Agribusiness Education Opportunities

West Virginia State University announced on Monday, April 7, that the school is partnering with Danielle Grant, a Future Farmers of America teacher at Buffalo High School, to provide immersive agribusiness course modules for students.

This collaboration provides students with hands-on instruction and practical applications of agricultural business principles, deepening their understanding of the industry.

With years of experience in agricultural education, Grant navigates students through essential topics such as agribusiness economics, marketing strategies and financial management.
“We are thrilled to have Danielle Grant on board for this initiative,” said Dr. Saman Bandara, associate professor of economics at WVSU. “Her unwavering commitment to agricultural education and passion for student success have profoundly enriched our program.”

This partnership between WVSU and BHS is part of a broader initiative to improve agricultural education across West Virginia. The program aims to ensure that students have access to top-notch learning experiences that equip them for successful futures in agribusiness. This program is supported by the USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture.
