- There will be a free open gym for 1st – 5th graders every Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. at Zone Out Sports, located on Morris Court, just off Main Street in Hurricane.

- Friends of Old Time Music and Dance (FOOTMAD) will be hosting a community dance from 7 to 10 p.m. at Kanawha United Presbyterian Church, 1009 Virginia Street E, Charleston.

- The annual Buffalo Church of God Bazaar, located on Church Street, will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Food, candy, and crafts.
- The Dotty Boutique featuring Putnam Princess Parties and Out of this World fundraiser will be held at Poca High School from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Meet princesses and Darth Vader.
- The Teays Valley Church of God Fall Festival will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the church, located at 185 Connection Point, Scott Depot. Food, drinks, and vendors.
NOVEMBER 27
- Express Employment Professionals will be holding a walk-in recruiting and hiring event from noon to 4 p.m. at Area 34, 971 WV Route 34, Hurricane.

- The Women’s Club of Nitro, 2205 2nd Avenue and 23rd Street, will be holding Thanksgiving Dinner from 2 to 5 p.m.
- The Bridge Church, 279 Dairy Road, Poca, will be holding their annual Thanksgiving dinner from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. All are welcome.
- The Bancroft Thanksgiving Parade will start at 11 a.m. at the Bancroft Ball Field and go through the streets of the town.
- Volunteer at the Putnam County Animal Shelter, 12908 Charleston Road, Red House, for the Autumn Woof & Whiskers event. Show up at 7:30 a.m. and help clean up the shelter.
- Wobble Before You Gobble – A dance fitness class will be held at 9:15 a.m. at Power Up Sports and Wellness, 3540 Teays Valley Road, Hurricane.
NOVEMBER 30
- Poca High Show Choir will be holding Breakfast in Whoville from 8 a.m. to noon at the Poca High School. Tickets are $10 for adults, and $8 for children 10 and under.
- Area 34 will be hosting their third annual Small Business Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Area 34, 971 State Route 34, Hurricane.
- There will be a Small Business Saturday vendor event from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Valley Park Conference Center in Hurricane.
- The City of Hurricane will be celebrating Small Business Saturday during regular business hours.
- The Crush Run 10 Miler Course Preview and Training event will start at 8 a.m. at Meeks Mountain Trails at Hurricane City Park. Meet at the red barn.
DECEMBER 1
- There will be a four mile hike at Ridenour Lake in Nitro starting at 1:3 p.m. Meet up at the dog park.
- Rodney Barbour will be coming to the Forrest Burdette United Methodist Church, Putnam Avenue, Hurricane, at 3 p.m. for the “Prelude to the Manger” concert on the Harrah Symphonic Organ.
DECEMBER 4
- Red House Bible Church, 51 Warner Lane, will be hosting a live nativity photo opportunity from 6 to 8 p.m. Bring a camera and capture the fun.
