- The Spring Pumpkin Festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days. Crafts, vintage items, petting zoo, and pony rides. Tickets are $5; children 10 and under get in free.

- There will be an ATV/Jeep/4Wheeler benefit ride for vintage Buffalo Fire Truck restoration. The ride will start at the Buffalo Boat ramp parking area at 8 a.m. The cost is $10 per rider.
- Kelly’s Quilts, 450 Foster Road, Hurricane, will be holding their grand opening celebration from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

- There will be a workshop on Wild Foraging 101 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Shelter 5 at Ridenour Park in Nitro. Search the woods for wild forages, edibles, and medicinals.
- The Upper Vandalia Historical Society will meet at 2 p.m. at the Bancroft Mission, located on Route 62. Parking is behind the church.

- Raechel from WVU’s Putnam County Extension Office will be at the Eleanor Library at 4 p.m. to place eggs into an incubator. Every Monday after this, she will explain what is happening inside the shells until the eggs hatch, likely around May 19.
- There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony at noon for Putnam Chiropractic Center, 3520 Teays Valley Road, Hurricane.

- The 2nd Annual Harmony House Renaissance Faire will be held at Harris Riverfront Park in Huntington. Enjoy a day browsing oddities from more than 40 local artisans as you listen to music and watch dozens of performances of horseback archery, combat, belly-dancing, and more!
