- The Putnam County Farmer’s Market will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the field beside Exxon, across from the Putnam County Library in Teays Valley.
- The County Roads Farmers’ Market will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Valley Park in Hurricane.
MAY 22
- The Putnam County Fair Board will meet at 7 p.m. in the upstairs room of the Eleanor Fire Department (entrance is in the back, up the ramp).
- The monthly Night Market – featuring vendors, food trucks, and local bands – will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. at Valley Park in Hurricane. This month’s theme will be Bluegrass Night.
MAY 24
- Local pools will be opening for Memorial Day, including Waves of Fun, the Eleanor Park Pool, and the Hurricane City Park Sprayground.
- The Rock Ministries Family Day will be held from noon to 4 p.m. at Faith Christian Fellowship, 41 Krystal Lane, Buffalo.
- The thirty-second annual candle lighting memorial service will start at 7 p.m. at Beech Grove Cemetery, 305 Ivywood Street, Eleanor.
- Hometown Apostolic Church, 204 2nd Avenue N, will be holding their annual Trailmasters Cornhole Tournament at noon. Registration begins at 11 a.m.
- Horsehoe Heaven on Smith Farm, 121 Banjo Lane, Scott Depot, will be holding Cowgirl Inspirational Day of Fun and Fellowship. Bring your own horse. For more information and to register, call 304-421-5733.
- The Hurricane VFW 9097 Canteen, 3836 Teays Valley Road, Hurricane, will be holding a ‘Target Cancer’ Dart Tourney. Registration takes place from 1:30-2:30, and the competition begins at 3. For a $20 buy-in, $10 will go towards the winner and $10 will support cancer research.
- The Hurricane 100K Course Preview and Group Training Run will start at 8 a.m. at Meeks Mountain Trails. Meet up at the red barn at Hurricane City Park.
- The Rucker Family Gathering will start at noon at Hurricane City Park.

- Meeks Mountain Trails, located at the Hurricane City Park, will be holding morning yoga and breakfast from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Meet at the shelte rin the back of the “bowl” on thetrails.

- Summer Nights and Open Mics will be held at Nitro Living Memorial Park, Second Avenue and 21st Street. There will be a pop-up market in addition to an open mic event for musicians, poets, and comedians. Stage opens at 7 p.m.
- Surgios Cucina Italiana & Steaks, 2801 Main Street, Hurricane, will be holding Golden Girls trivia at 7 p.m.

- The Serving for Safety Pickleball Tournament will take place at the Nitro Park.

- The 6th Annual Herd Immunity Livestock Show will be held at the Winfield Riding Club. Open to youth in Lincoln, Cabell, Putnam, Jackson, Mason and Roane Counties.
- The Putnam County Moose, located in Putnam Village Shopping Center in Teays Valley, will be open to the public. The evening starts at 8 p.m.
MAY 30
- Metro 911 Community Night Pickleball Tournament will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Nitro Athletic Complex, located at 1650 Park Avenue. There will be a pickle eating contest at 6:30 p.m.
- Hometown Apostolic Church, 204 2nd Avenue N., Hometown, will be holding a youth service with guest speaker Bro. Nathan Martin from 7 to 10 p.m.
