This participant’s quest to balance on a rolling log ended quickly but was rewarded by a plunge that provided relief from 90°-plus temperatures on Saturday, July 12, in Eleanor at the Putnam County Fair.

This year’s Putnam County Fair features daily performance by the Great Lakes Timber Show. The show teams with events at the Motorized Events Complex to produce fun in abundance.

The curtain has closed on Truck and Tractor Pulls, the Demolition Derby, the Bulls and Barrels Rodeo, and the Kids Kar Extravaganza at the Complex. The last three days of the fair feature Lawn Mower Races on July 17, Motocross racing on July 18 and the 4-Wheel Drive Mud Run races on July 19.

The Fair closes at 10:00 p.m. on Saturday with Fireworks. A full schedule for the last three days can be found on Page 3.
