  • The Putnam County Farmer’s Market will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the field beside Exxon, across from the Putnam County Library in Teays Valley.
  • The County Roads Farmers’ Market will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Valley Park in Hurricane.

  • Mount Union Church, 19268 Jerry’s Run Road, Pliny, will be holding Let’s Glow Vacation Bible School from 6 to 8:15 p.m. nightly.

  • There will be adult rock painting at 5:30 p.m. at the Nitro Library.
  • The monthly Night Market – featuring vendors, food trucks, and local bands – will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. at Valley Park in Hurricane. This month’s theme will be Luau Night.

JULY 25 – 26

  • Oodles, 2825 Main Street, Hurricane, will be holding a Christmas in July sidewalk sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

  • Reset and Regulate, equine group therapy for school aged children, will be held at Smith Farm in Scott Depot. Ages 7-9 – 9-10 a.m.; ages 10-13 – 10:30-11:30 a.m. The cost is $90. To register, call or text 304-840-9300.
  • Fitness Friday: Walk the Meeks Mountain Trails at 10 a.m. Meet up at the trailhead at Hurricane City Park.
  • Book Reading at the Park: author John Fowler will be reading from his children’s books, “Frankie the Honey Bee” and “Adventures of Jack and Catfish Mike” at 11 a.m. at Valley Park in Hurricane.
  • Poolside Pages: an adults only reading party will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. at Waves of Fun in Hurricane. Admission is $8.

  • Fear on the Farm, 8395 Winfield Road, Winfield, will be holding outdoor nighttime Zombie Laser Tag from 8 p.m. to midnight. The cost is $20 per person. For more information, call 681-203-3683.
  • The West Virginia Farm Museum, 1458 Fairground Road, Point Pleasant, will be holding a Tractor Parade and Show. Registration begins at 9 a.m.; pedal pull at 10 a.m.; parade begins at noon.
  • The Second Annual Truck Show hosted by Appalachian Truck & Trailer Services will be held from 10 am. to 2 p.m. at 4392 1st Avenue, Nitro.

  • MadFest music festival will be held all day at Ridenour Park in Nitro.

  • The Rustic Mechanicals 2025 Vaulting Ambition Tour of William Shakespeare’s MACBETH will play at Valley Park in Hurricane beginning at 7 p.m. at the big shelter.
  • The Country Roads Farmers Market, located at Valley Park in Hurricane, will be holding a pioneer day for kids from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Valley Park in Hurricane will be hosting Summerween Fright Night from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Wave Pool.

  • The Upper Vandalia Historical Society will meet Sunday, July 27, at 2 p.m. at Bancroft Mission, 5936 Charleston Road, Bancroft. Parking in rear of building.
  • Winfield Nazarene Church, 10822 Winfield Road, will be hosting Beat the Heat: Grillin’ and Chillin’ from 6 to 8 p.m. Water games, ice cream, and more. Fun for kids, teens, and adults.
  • There will be a parking lot flea market sale from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Valley Vintage, 404B Midland Trail, Hurricane.

  • Fraziers Bottom Methodist will have a three-day Christmas in July Bible School from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. nightly. The church is located off Route 817 at 1 Church Lane.
  • St. Timothy’s in the Valley Episcopal Church, 3434 Teays Valley Road, Hurricane, will be holding Vacation Bible School from 5:30 to 8 p.m. nightly.

  • Buffalo Church of the Nazarene, 20531 Buffalo Road, will be holding an American Red Cross Blood Drive from 1 to 6 p.m.

  • Batman will be at the Nitro Library at 1p.m.
  • There will be a Family Drive-In Movie Night at the Nitro High School.
  • A K9 officer from the Hurricane Police Department will be at the Hurricane City Park baseball field at 10 a.m. to show off their skills.
  • Tri-It-Tuesday: There will be a triathlon of activities at Hurricane City Park. 5 p.m. – Hike to Meeks Mountain Trails; 6 p.m. – Stand Up Paddleboarding at the Hurricane Reservoir; 7:15 p.m. – Beginner Paddleboard Yoga. JULY 30

  • Summer Nights and Open Mics will be held at Nitro Living Memorial Park, Second Avenue and 21st Street. There will be a pop-up market in addition to an open mic event for musicians, poets, and comedians. Stage opens at 7 p.m.
