NOVEMBER 14 – 16

  • Hometown Apostolic Church, 204 2nd Avenue N, Hometown, will be holding building dedication services at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, 1 p.m. on Saturday, and 11 a.m. on Sunday.

NOVEMBER 14

  • There will be a fun event for grandparents raising grandchildren from 9 to 11 a.m. at 960 Roosevelt Blvd., Eleanor.
  • Facing Hunger Foodbank will be holding a mobile food pantry from 11 a.m. to noon at Teays Valley Church of God, 185 Connection Point, Scott Depot.
  • Game Grove, located in Putnam Village Shopping Center in Teays Valley, will be holding a board game night from 6 to 10:30 p.m.

  • The City of Hurricane will be holding an unveiling ceremony for the Civil War Trails Hurricane Bridge battle at 11 a.m. in the parking area of Cross Fit gym on Midland Trail.

  • There will be a holiday craft and vendor show from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at The Bridge Church, 279 Dairy Road, Poca.
  • The women of Hurricane First Church of the Nazarene, 358 US Route 60, will be holding a Friendsgiving dinner starting at 4 p.m.

  • ValleyCon, a pop culture convention fundraiser for Zoology Zone Science Center, will be held from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Valley Park Conference Center in Hurricane. Admission is $5; 12 and under free.

  • There will be a soup dinner fundraiser for Poca Visual Volume Show Choir from 4:30 to 8 p.m. at Harvest Chapel, 402 Main Avenue, Nitro.
  • There will be a Facing Hunger food drive from 10 a.m. to noon at Mount Union Church in Pliny.
  • Marshall Health pediatric dietitian Rachel Sallade will be showing children how to build a nutritious plate at 10 a.m. at the Eleanor Library.
  • The Winfield Nazarene Church, 10822 Winfield Road, will be holding a community Thanksgiving dinner from 6:30 to to 7:30 p.m.
