Since the day was first devised by American Express in 2010, thousands of businesses and municipalities around the country use the Saturday after Thanksgiving to encourage consumers to shop at small and local stores.
All this week, City of Hurricane has been promoting local businesses on the official Facebook page, advertising sales, special hours, and promotions. “Saturday, November 29, 2025 is: Small Business Saturday! The City of Hurricane recognizes this date each year by encouraging residents to ‘shop small’ and ‘eat local.’” The post went on to say, “Of course, we have so many wonderful small businesses in our community that it’s easy to do this all year, but please consider getting out and about on Small Business Saturday. Together, we can make this a day our small business owners will remember!”
Below will be a list of businesses which the City has promoted so far.
